Advancing Learning Through Data-Driven Instruction
At Daylight Learning, everything begins with connection. We believe students grow best when they feel known, supported, and challenged by educators who understand today's classrooms from the inside out.
Daylight Learning was founded by Maria Day, whose years working within local Philadelphia private schools gave her a firsthand view of what students actually need: consistent, individualized support from someone who truly gets where they are. That experience shaped not only her approach to tutoring, but the team she built around her: a group of skilled, practicing educators united by a genuine commitment to student-centered learning.
Maria brings over ten years of experience in English and Spanish instruction, writing support, and student mentorship. She holds a B.A. from New York University and a Master of Education from Chestnut Hill College. Her background spans classroom teaching, academic coaching, language instruction, and student engagement — experience that continues to inform a practical, responsive approach to every session.
What sets Daylight Learning apart is straightforward: instruction is led by real, practicing classroom teachers. That means students receive support that is current, structured, and directly aligned with what they are navigating in school right now. We do not provide a generic curriculum, but a responsive one.
At its core, Daylight Learning is about bridging the gap between the classroom and individualized support. We help students build skills, confidence, and independence through consistent, relationship-based instruction from educators who know them and know what it takes for them to succeed.
